What are hormones?

Hormones are those forms of chemicals which are released through the glands present in our body. Secondly there are neurotransmitters which work as messengers through blood.

What are happy hormones?

Among all the hormones present in our body some are happy hormones which help us to feel good, and uplifts our moods & well being. Hormones responsible for our happiness are: dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin and endorphins.

Dopamine- is a feel good hormone that helps us uplift our mood. Level of dopamine increases in our body when we get involved in activities such as outdoor activities, physical exercise, running, laughing, taking care of others, meeting friends etc. 

Serotonin- it not only helps in uplifting our mood but also helps in digestion, sleep and hunger. If we do regular exercise, proper complete sleep and take a balanced diet, the level of serotonin increases automatically in the body. 

Oxytocin- it is a love hormone that increases when new bondings takes place such as physical affections, bondings, exercise etc.

Endorphins- also known as the natural pain relievers, this helps us to get relief from any type of pain occurring in the body. Endorphins increase in the body by doing yoga, walking, exercise, helping others and presenting kindness towards others.

All these hormones help us feel good and we stay happy enough.
